Day 23 - Edinburgh

After a late start - Channe was out on the town last night!!! - we relocated to our apartment.

Some of Channe's experiences from last night - being asked for ID (for the first times on this trip); a bouncer at Macdonalds; drinks being very expensive; trying to learn how to speak Scottish!!!!

We expected that checkin would be mid afternoon but finding ourselves nearby the apartment we walked over to see what time check in would be and also what the parking arrangements were. The lovely Scottish ladies on check in found that our apartment was ready and even found another one with a washing machine for us which was also ready. So we went got the car out of a shopping centre carpark, dropped off our luggage - with Channe wrangling it to the apartment whilst Jenny went found the carpark associated with the apartment. Crazy with road diversions, narrow roads and the celebration for Hibernian Football (soccer) win at the Scottish Cup FInal - their first win in 114 years. Fans in green were all over the streets.

Channe decided to chill out whilst waiting to make arrangements with Brogan her friend from school days. So Jenny took to the streets and walked all the way up Princes St around the perimeter of Edinburgh Castle, then into the Castle to look around. Then back down the Royal Mile checking out the shops, catching a choral rehearsal at St Giles Cathedral.

Now its off to Mass and then to get dinner at one of the local pubs....... will we try haggis or not!!!!
